Most breeders will take back the canaan dogs they have bred, if asked; this is not always possible and so this is where the Canaan Dog Club of the United Kingdom rescue will step in and help.
Because our breed is long lived, many owners, who’s Canaan Dogs have passed away, would like to have another, they may feel they are too old to start again with a puppy, and so, the Canaan Dogs that require loving homes would make ideal suggestions.
It gives me great pleasure to say, over the last few years, few Canaan Dogs have required a rescue home.
If you find yourself in the need of help with your Canaan Dog, or perhaps you know a Canaan Dogs is need of the rescue, please do not hesitate to contact the club. Our door and hearts are always open to the Canaan Dog community.
Other rescues can be found throughout the British Isles on the Kennel Club website
