As a new committee we have started to exchange ideas on how we can reinvigorate the club and become the active club that we once were. We have lots of exciting plans for 2026 some of which are:
1. A new website
2. Becoming active on Social Media platforms
3. Holding the first a face-to-face AGM and fun day since before the COVID-19 pandemic
4. Host some organised walks
5. Produce annual calendars
6. Creation of a regular newsletter
The committee is dedicated to ensuring we keep the legacy of the club going and aims to grow our presence.
The more members we have the more widely we can spread word about this fantastic breed and we would like to invite you all to join the club.
Membership to the Canaan Dog Club of the United Kingdom includes:
1. Belonging to the ONLY Kennel Club Registered dog club for the Canaan Dog.
2. A brand new Annual A4 Calendar (included in your membership fee with UK P&P)
3. Connections to fellow owners and breeders via our Facebook and Instagram pages (https://www.facebook.com/canaandogclubuk & https://www.instagram.com/canaandogclubuk)
4. Dedicated WhatsApp group so we can keep connected as a club, share pictures and stories of our Canaan Dogs.
5. Attendance at our clubs Annual General Meeting (AGM)
6. Support for breeding from our expert breeders
7. Advice and guidance on showing your Canaan Dog
8. The ability to influence club policies and contribute to the breed’s future development and welfare development
9. The ability to influence how the club grows and develops
10. AND get your dogs’ photos and stories featured on our website/social media channels
Membership fees for 2026 are as follows, £22 [GBP] for Single Membership and £30 [GBP] for Family Membership.
